Well, my mag kit finally came in the mail, so I slapped it on and took a whole bunch of pics. Here are the various configurations I have now.
GALLERY OF ALL 9 PHOTOS I've got a shorter barrel, flash suppressor and silencer kit back ordered. Once they're in I'll take some more pics. I love my baby. x2 badass with the new mag kit. :D Edited by brihard - 28 November 2006 at 10:50pm |

Ahhh... that's better!
Very nice! Off topic, but me likey the CADPAT as well. I know you don't dare play paintball in your uniform... but do you have a spare set to play in? Or do you end up wearing something else?

I bought myself a fourth set to play in- and kudos on properly naming it.
![]() I figured better that I liberate the set from a surplus store than some civilian who's gonna wear the pants halfway down his ass with a Che shirt on top... I've also got an old set of olive drab that I sometimes wear too, also privately purchased. I don't wear any rank or insignia on the uniforms I use to play. |

Tough call. Fixed stock, RIS handguard with foregrip gets the 'badass' award. For keeping it nice and compact though the retracting stock and navy handguard... The fixed stock and navy handguard rock too; the 'classic' look. |

I like the Classic Navy Look with the Classic handguard and Solid stock. How does it work for you. I hear that they are good guns as long as you take good care of them unlike my tippmanns that live in totebins in between paintball games.
Care to give us a quick Pro and Cons and things we should know on the SIM5? |

Very well. I've only had good luck with it. Very reliable so long as I look after it, and completely mechanical, hence less to worry about. Here's an updated pic- I made a metal reinforcing bracket to go around the rear of the trigger frame; that's the one weak spot on the marker; the rear tabs for the frame mounting screws are occasionally prone to cracking. ![]() Edited by brihard - 07 December 2006 at 1:39pm |
