My hands hurt like a , and I thought the quick-strip was a bit superfluous. I'm currently working on the sight rail, so I gotcha covered! |

man 'o man, enjoy those hand cramps from the file? it looks
awesome. i wish i had some extra dough so i could mill out another
custom. and just so you know, don't do the quick strip mod.. it
sucks and doesn't work out the way you want. But i cant wait for
the next update, keep us posted!
EDIT: remove the side wings from the site rail. flatten them down so it goes even with the site rail width or just remove them down into the divet Edited by tecumseh - 29 December 2006 at 2:14am |

Looks good mang. Smooth work on the sectioned linkage arm area. Innovative rear site. Very excited to see how this turns out. Looks to be a great project.

Monk: I'll figure something out with the front sight. And thanks! Nathan: A dremel, hacksaw, and a LOT of filing. Edit: Seeing as to how the front site holds the hopper on, I'm gonn have to leave it as is... Edited by DeTrevni - 29 December 2006 at 1:51am |

I like that style of milling. You should mill the sharp edges on the sight rail.
Sanding or steel wool will take off the paint. Or a paint stipping dremmel head. Also, I wish you could do something with the front sight. It just doesnt fit the gun anymore. |

This here is a project log for a custom 98c I'm doing. It's ??? because the best part of it is a secret! I'd like to thank Hybrid Sniper for his contribution. Without it, this would just be another hacked up 98c! Day 1: Milling You like? Soon to come is more sanding and painting. Anyone know how to strip the silver paint off? It feels laminated...
Day 3: Milling II Well here's the sight rail milling. I'm still not quite done, as it's still a bit rough. Thoughts? Edited by DeTrevni - 31 December 2006 at 2:57pm |
