^!VOTE! ^ Ok I am thinking of upping from a 98 that I've modded a bit and want some more performance and asthetics from a different marker I have looked at a fair amount and got these four options. (I roughly know how to time an autococker) I also don't want a blazing north of 30 bps marker and want a lighweight marker that is more user friendly. i already screwwed up and put the poll title as my first option but since it was the ion i don't think it would have got too many votes ![]() I really want technical specs on the promaster and what ups are available Edited by Connmann - 08 January 2007 at 5:06pm |

My vote goes for the superstock. But I love 'cockers so there may be some bias. The electros are fast, quiet, efficient, and easier to time/maintain than the mechs. If you can, I'd look into getting an E-Bladed '04 over an '05 Super Stock with a Select Fire frame.

acually now i'm happy i didn't include ions in the poll because i'm an ion hater and all the rich kids at my field own an ion with every form of up. the funny thing is seeing me and my friends own them with 98's and some spyders

its not gun its the player. i used to use a warsernsor g2 as a primary weapon and i would take out kids with angels and high end markers like that because of my playing style. and btw. i was also an ion hater, but now i love them, they are the best marker out right now. and i think its gunna be a while before other companies will be able to compare to the ion. |

look around you can find a cheap used ION for sale. SP sold tons of them for a reason. if you still dont wana go with the ion, Id take De's advice '04 e-cocker. some of the fastest guns Ive seen were cockers.

all the RICH kids own ions???????? there lilke the cheapist decent electro gun out there, dont get a cocker, there not user friendly you can get 2004/5 protos for mad cheap these days, and there actully really easy to maintain. your best bet, for your cheap budget, is to get a second hand gun off the nation. dont waist your money on cheap electros |

lol I have timed that 05 superstock and its only problem is that if you time it in a hot room and play in -5C the timing goes slightly off. (I know how to do the sear lug, back block and cocking rod and NOT the 3-way) Anyways is the promaster electropneumatic? I heard that they weigh 2lbs and you can mill the grip for some extra weight loss. I also heard theyre a freestyle type clone . I know FS's rip and are nice guns but I don't think the promaster is really a FS type of marker because its soo cheap. What ups do they make for promasters (performance wise)? Can you use Co2 in them (I have 1 Co2 and one 47/3000)? Thanks for your help!P.S. not even considering the Trilogy any more so now its cockers vs. ICD's. I'd look into a used Dye Matrix, whether it's an LCD or DM4. They're going for pretty cheap nowadays with all of the 07 models coming out.

Can't my parents only want me to buy used if its local and I'm stuck in the middle of saskatchewan, north of Montana, and I've only found 2 04 vert cockers that are beaters without counting the superstock that I'll probably end up buying through GWN. ![]() |

Seriously man, if you hate them, at least tell why. The only timing needed on an e-cocker is the lug, back block and board settings (last part required of all electros). ICD's are pretty good, assuming you stay away from the lower end (which are still decent.) I've heard nothing but good things about the Promaster. Unfortunately, I don't know much about them. Most of the "OMG my ICD is brokeded!" comments I heard turned out to be user-error problems. I do know that there aren't a lot of ups for the ICD guns, but there is a world of ups for the 'cocker, so even if it has only the SF frame, I still say go for that. Yes, there arent many ups for promasters sadly. One of the ion competitors who really should be chosen more often. Theres feednecks, boards, barrels, regs, grips. Its pretty much the basic stuff. There are valves that can be upgraded, which greatly effect the performance. Wasnt JDS suppose to make an lpr for it or something? I dont know, but, when i was going to get one, there were rumors. |

JDS was/is allegedly developing one. Even if they never do release it, you can get SCM3s for them, which are nearly identical. |

I also found this marker Its called the "Fusion" and its made by Dangerous power. Looks like a Mac Dev Cyborg in my opinion but its soposed to be ok. The guy that made it also made the wrath and it looks like the manager for the company is dynasty's coach and there's also some guys from WDP in the company. its also got what i think is a CP reg stock.
What's your opinion on it? Also I might be able to get a diablo wrath. Are they any good? Edited by Connmann - 04 January 2007 at 3:02pm |
