^Not really what I was getting at. But never-the-less its a decent idea. My idea is closer to how a regular belt-fed weapon would work (like an M-249 for example) except for a paintball gun that would shoot paintballs.... not bullets. |

ya i know how those things worked, and their really not that complex...
they work just like the camshafts in your car's engine. also, yes an eye or something like that could work... then again, you also have to make a HUGE long chain of ammo for it, so mabye if you made the chain a continous loop and had a regular paintball loader loading the chain it would be really cool... i will post a pic so you can understand what i saying a little better.. |

^carl is right (the History channel made me into an expert as well ). It would be better just to use an electronic system to rotate the belt through the paintball weapon as it fires. |

you don't have enough room in a normal sized paintball guns to build a timing system like that. the best way would be to make eyes that detect the chain loading and snychronize with the bolt. |

Get over what exactly? I was just bringing this idea up. This is the "Paintball Ideas" thread, so if you don't like my idea you can just leave. |

ya, if you could come up with some sort of timing system (mabye like the ones they used on WW1 aircraft to keep from shooting their propellers off) it could work... mabye make it a mounted machine gun on a paintball tank... that would be cool...

Well he does have a good start but i bet if you worked hard and thought about it a little longer than it could be a big hit in scenario games. |
