I need help picking an upgrade for my gun. I already added a Electronic Hopper and a 14" J&J Ceramic Barrel. I play woodsball and need something reliable with a low-cost. I was looking at a closed bolt system also known as rocket cock, but I wasn't positive on how much it would do. Please post your feedback. Thank You

Okay, first things first. A rocket-cock doesn't mean you have a closed-bolt system. When you refer to closed bolts in paintball (as well as fire-arms) you are referring to the actual bolt (the part in front of the valve that pushes the ball into the breech and channels the flow of air to the ball) being in the forward position with a ball in the breech while the marker is in a resting (I.E. non-firing/non moving) state. Autocockers are closed bolt markers as were/are AKA Excaliburs and a few other.

As for the usefulness of a rocket-cock, while it's nice that it can keep dirt out of the hammer tube and you don't have the charging handle sticking out and moving back and forth to the exposed world when you fire, it's mainly cosmetic.

If you want to close up the marker AND get effective results, I suggest looking into saving up for a Low-Pressure-Kit. It make the marker rear-cocking, seals up the charging handle window, adds in consistency and helps to save on the amount of air used.

My personal suggestion though is to not worry about the cocking system right now and get something like a palmer's stabilizer to help regulate CO2/HPA flow and give you more consistency and more shots per tank (by a few).

^I agree that you should look into an expnasion chamber of sorts before a rocket-cock. In fact, rather than picking up a rocket cock, I would suggest trying to find a rear cocking system as it is less bulky.

Ok, I've looked into Palmer's Stabilizers but, the price is high and I would rather not mess with the hose system. I might get the rear cocking system. Please continue to post your advice. Thank You for the advice already given.

The rear cocking system doesn't work with the A.C.T. models. I have an A.C.T. model. Heres the link. http://www.tippmannparts.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.pr odInfo&productID=1282&categoryID=8

Sorry, I didnt think to check your sig. What are you looking for out of your gun? Are there any areas you notice while playing that lack?

I need to shot a tad faster then 8bps I need around 10bps. Is there any upgrades that will do that or increase the bps other then the e-bolt, e-trigger, or the reponse trigger?

You could do a few home trigger mods.  Look here for advice.

ya, other than trigger mods theres nothing you can do short of the RT or egrip. Ebolts are hard to find these days and expensive, so i wouldnt bother one for you.

look into an x-chamber, it will help your accruacy so you wont need the extra bps to hit people

I would rather not mess with moding a $189.00 gun. I'm afraid to mess somethin up and not be able to fix it. I have no paintball shops to fix my mess up. I want a cheap part that could increase the bps rate a bit. The r/t is starting to feel like I need. What do you think about the r/t? Please continue to post feedback and advice. Thank You.

The RT is a nice upgrade for Tippmanns. It increases the ROF quite a bit and functions well in any conditions. It is not tourney legal, but that's not a big deal.

How hard is the r/t to install? Does it mess with the gas lines and having to seal the gas lines back up, because I would rather not do that. Like I said if I mess up I'm out $189.00+.

Seriously, Tippmanns are almost impossible to mess up beyond repair.  Ive done almost all of the listed trigger mods from the website I linked to, and only like 1 of them involves actually altering an existing part on the gun.  Trigger stops are easy to make, either replacing or removing your trigger spring is a cakewalk and wont screw up your gun, and if you really wanted to you could expiriment into trying to make your sear spring lighter.  The last one takes a lot of time to perfect, but you dont have to do it if you dont want to.  You can do all this for pretty much no cost - they just require a little bit of time.

I added a clicky pen spring for the stock trigger spring. Should increase BPS by a little. I have no paint and cannot test it but seems like it should work. I will try some of the other mods thanks Yomillio. Please continue to post feedback and advice. Thank You.

Just performance I'm on a small paintball team getting ready to go semi-pro nothing big yet. I play woodsball and just need consistent performance out my gun. I need a upgrade with the BPS which the mod helped. Other than that the Remote-Line should act as a X-Chamber and give my CO2 performance and upgrade. I want to know if the R/T is worth the $65.00 or if I should go with the E-Trigger at $34.00 more? Please continue post feedback and advice. Thank You.

get the etrigger its awsome if you use full auto on it your shooting 17-18 bps but if you get that and use full auto then you'll probally want to get a cyclone feeder or some other type of electric hopper.

E-trigger
cyclone feeder
21" core barrel
or 11" stock barrel
20 and 9 oz co2 tanks
or Brass Eagle Talon Ghost
