I'm lookin a buying a new gun and the tippmann A-5 stealth seems to be the right price range and fits my woodsball style. I was just wondering what you've heard about this marker. Good or Bad

Don't get it! The flatline barrel is the MAIN selling point on this marker. Just some FYI on this barrel. Yes it Might fire a few more feet due to the "spin"on the ball. But can you hit anything with it? Most of the time no. I have found people who use this Marker are "spray and pray" paintballers (I used it for a few games and didnt care for it one bit). My suggestion is this:

1) Go to a pawn shop (or look in classifieds) get an A-5 for $75.-$100.00 (or search online for great deal it doesnt have to be brand new...trust me on this it's a TIPPMANN).

2) Search online for a decent stock $20-$35.00

3) Rob someone for a "Rampage Board" $50.00

4) Reach out for a Remote line $20.00

5) Bag a Barrel like J&J edge (cheap and shoots good) $75.00

So for about $280-$300.00 you can have a better set up (IMO) then the standard "Stealth" set up. AND you saved money!!! It may not be shiney and new but ask others if ya clean it oil it and love it....it will work awesome for ya! Anyhow thats my 2cents.

Peace out!

Okay, a used A-5 is gonna cost a lot more than $75 to $100...

And the Flatline is really amazing technology. It allows straighter trajectory so you can have a flatter shot, and still get the distance of "longballing" it. Great for bushball. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about your take on "spray and pray..."

I see Tipps in pawn shops all the time. A-5s and 98s. I however am also in a Miltary town so there is alot of people who get in and out. Plus people sell paintball gear on other sites aside from overstock and ebay all the time for dirt cheap. Ya just gotta look. As far as the "spray and pray" alot of sites that offer the stealth give an egrip or rt set up.

I dont have any problems with the Stealth, but I've never been a huge fan of Flatlines. If it has everything you want in a gun, go for it. We cant make the decision for you.

If it were me though, I would pick up an A5 and JJ Ceramic and use the cash leftover to buy upgrades that I wanted.

1. That's just wrong. (In a disturbingly funny kind of way.)

2.  I guess that mean's he'll be waiting a few years before you can start paying?

Most of the people I play with have flatlines on there 98s and there good barrels unless theres more than a little wind. But I would say get the gun if thats what you want because you can always sell the barrel and buy a different one if you dont like it.

tippmann custom pro
E-trigger
cyclone feeder
21" core barrel
or 11" stock barrel
20 and 9 oz co2 tanks
or Brass Eagle Talon Ghost
with copperhead red dot scope
and a wooden stock

If you get the Stealth, I would get another barrel as Sinister said but you would have to buy a barrel adapter because the Stealth don't come with it.
