Not worth the money. You could build a much nicer gun for the same price.
Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

$300 can get you a POS like those.... or you can buy a nice used DM4, Timmy, Angel LED or LCD, or a million more high-end markers that will give you far better performance or reliability.

Now isn't that rather rude and uncalled for!?

You ask for advice, and then insult those that are trying to help you?

I disapprove.

Ha. Wow. Miss your noon nap?

The T9 is just a Tac-5 with more crap on it. But if you want to waste your money go ahead.

So, you're going to spend $300USD for a marker that has no upgradability what-so-ever? That's almost as brilliant as the statement I quoted above. Not only do you have to purchase extra clips at approximately $40 each to be able to use the clip-loading features, you also have to keep a clip inserted AND use a remote line if you want to use Constant air. If using C/A but no hopper, you must re-load the ONE CLIP in the marker by hand since the same clip must be used each and every time if using constant air. It weighs almost 2 pounds more than an A-5 un-sprung. It has an amazingly slow ROF, no electro-upgrage or RT upgrade options so you're stuck in Semi-only, PERIOD. They're loud as crap and have horrible gas efficiency due to the heavy hammer and spring set needed to make a compact semi-auto operate off of 12g CO2 cartridges. Don't even get me started on the current cost of 12g cartridges for an air-source if you don't feel like using a bulky remote line. If you want to go play uber-sniporz in the woods wearing a ghillie and bragging about that one shot you got off before someone who can actually play and understands the game welted the crap out of you, then go for it. But if you actually want to get out and play some paintball and maybe even shoot someone, then I'd suggest looking into something else. Next time you want to come in and ask opinions even though you've already made up your mind, you'd better make sure you've got something better to say.

Have fun wasting your money with a marker that is mediocre in performance at best with no way what-so-ever to upgrade it. When it turns out to suck and be a waste of cash, come on back with an open mind and I'll give you some good ideas of what is really worth $300.

$200 - $400: Used Angels, used Shockers, used Intimidators, used PM5's, used Freestyles, and certain used cockers.

New: Promasters ($250, probably easier to find used), Lasoya Promasters ($200, probably easier to find used), Ions ($225), SP-8 (300), Epiphany, PMRs.

Less than $250: new/used impulses, bushmasters, b2k2, b2k4, bko, A-5s, Tippmann 98 customs, most cockers, etc

Some of those guns can be found for $100, and ALL of them are better than the gun you asked about.

Paid $187 shipped for my DMLCD w/ Freeflow board, clamping feedneck, evil pipe kit, CP reg, CP Snatch Grip, and ACI phat drop w/ on/off and a Reloader to throw on it.

Commander_Cool got to it before I did, but there are a ton of markers on the market right now for $300 or under, New AND Used that will hold their own far better than a T-9

Heck, I could get a Vision Shocker with Maxflow and full freak kit for $500 right now, it's a new '06 and that's from a pro-shop which tends to run higher.

The plain and simple fact of the matter is that any pistol/clip loading system in paintball is a gimmick for the mil-sim "I wish I had joined the army but I'm too scared to go into real combat" players out there.

I have the T9 and love it.

I have a A5 for my main marker and have a T9 as a back up or pistol.

My A5 can shoot 20+ BPS and I dont need or want high end marker that has high BPS.

You are bragging about paying top dollar for inferior products due to impractical gimmicks...wow what a great point.

The T9 is not comparable to other guns that are either the same price or less, yet perform better. What was your point? That you own one and don't want the option of performance. Its like having the choice between a Lamborghini Diablo and a Ford Pinto for the same price, and choosing the Pinto. In addition the electro gun will be more practical than your T9. As for pistols in general, unless you are playing some sort of stock class/ pump game pistols are completely and utterly useless in paintball, you are better off carrying additional paint.

As for the A-5, they are decent guns, not my favorites. Of course the A-5 doesn't pertain to the discussion at all. A stock A-5 will not shoot 20+ bps. In addition if ROF (as in BPS) does not matter to you, why are you bragging about the ROF you claim your A-5 can achieve?

Simply put you comment is obtuse, and your points are moot.

I see your problem. You have the Spec-Ops mentality, "I can only use it if it's designed for woodsball." Wrong.

Think about it: The high-end electro "Speed demon clown guns" you could get with that money would be a better choice. Often, electros are more reliable than the mechs you can buy, as there are less parts to go wrong. You may say, "What about water?" You planning on swimming? The rain simply isn't enough to destroy one of those markers, the rubber grips act kind of like a gasket. Plus, how many people actually play in the rain? Speedball guns shoot faster as well, giving you more opportunity to hit people in the woods. My conclusion: "Woodsball guns" are a joke, as is your precious T-9.

Oh, clean up your attitude. No one's gonna help you if you are an arse.

QFT.

Murphy, play with an electro and see the difference! Heck ive played in the rain and dove around and had no problems with shockers. Heck, my dad played in snow with a pm... The only time you actualy do swim playing paintball is when your doing the 2005 PSP in Pomona!

Now...

/thread before murphy cries about the 300$ he threw in the trash can.
