Ok, need some info out of you. First, what gun are you using? A 98C? An A-5? Second, were any of the internal parts damaged in the fall? Did you have a pro-shop tech fix it for you when you got the new stock? Additionally, what other upgrades do you have for the gun? Sometimes some of these things get out of balance and mess up a gun. When you say "nothing happens" do you mean the bolt doesn't stay back, or you fire it and it won't re-cock? |

Oops! missed the name in the title...silly me. Anyway if you try cocking it and it just goes full auto it sounds like your sear might have been busted/slipped loose. The sear is a part that locks back the bolt when it is fully drawn. Grab your owners manual and take a look. There is a diagram of the internal parts of your gun. If you cant find the manual then use this link. http://www.tippmann.com/pdfs/products/A5/a5manual.pdf it is on page 5. The Sear is the part towards the bottom of the pic near the right side. If that piece is busted somehow when you cock it back it wont click into place, the bolt will move foward and then start using all your gas until the tank is empty. You'll need to take it apart and check out the sear. If your not comfortable with taking your gun apart yet then bring it to a pro-shop and ask them to check it for you. (but if your not familiar with taking a gun apart now would be a good time to try Hope that helped. |

Ok, let me be a little clearer here. You cock it, but when you let go it fires instead of staying cocked. Does it re-cock itself or stay un-cocked? If it does re-cock itself does it continue to fire by itself or does it work fine after that? If it stays un-cocked do you hear a hissing sound? You might have an air leak somewhere. Additonally is your tank filled? When it gets low that can also cause your problem. Lets see if we can clear this problem up. |

Ok, then it is what I figured. If you hooked up your tank to it then cocked it, the gun would go full-auto and empty your tank. Either your sear is busted or the trigger is. So my original advice stands. Take it apart and see if one of the parts is cracked, maybe a spring popped out of place or something like that. I had a similar problem when I went to modify my trigger. The spring popped out and the trigger locked back, stopping the sear from latching into place and causing the gun to go bezerk. Find an area with some space, grap a plastic baggie and take your gun apart. put absolutely every piece in that bag and keep track of it. Print out tha diagram as large as possible and piece by piece put it back together ensuring nothing is broken. If after that you cannot get it to work right then it is pro-shop time. |

The force of hitting the ground caused the sear or hammer to chip. Read your manual!!! Learn the names of the parts so you can ask intelligent questions and understand the answers. Using the word "thingy" to describe any part of your marker should disqualify you from playing paintball.
