Well, I got kind of bored with the shotgun thing, so I took those parts off (I can still put em back on if need be), and started a new project.  I'm building an M82/M99 hybrid.  It will look more like an M82, but be bolt action like the M99.  Here is the current pic.  I currently have a 1" O.D. 33" long barrel on there, I plan to switch it for a .75" O.D. barrel, but still undecided if I want it to be 33" or 29".  Keep in mind that the extension does not contact the ball, only 10" of barrel actually come in contact with the ball.  So, same length or shorter?

I also have a scope I plan to put on it, as well as making a fake mag the size of a 10 round, 12.7x99mm magazine, and fit it where it wouldbe on an M82.  I will also give the thing the traditional hexagonal shape of the m82, as well as cut the front to look like it.  I still can't decide if I would rather have a raised rail like on the M95 or have a really long rail like on the m82.  I do plan to make a muzzle break out of aluminum, and also make a foldable bipod.

For color, I'm thinking of painting it a camoflauge green with black accents.  The body will be green, but the grip, butt plate, rail, scope, barrel, bipod, and muzzle break will be black.

Thoughts?

It sounds like once you finish it that it will look sweet. I would just paint it black though so then you can switch to the shotgun and it won't be camo in only 1 spot.

I agree, make it black, not camo so you can switch back and forth, plus it won't be as hard to paint. The extra long not-barrel might affect you play and movement, but it should be fine if it's removable. Also, I don't suggest a scope. Use a reflex sight and that should work perfectly, but your gun, your rules.

Okay, I actually wasn't planning on painting anything camo except the actual mod parts.  Therefore if I put the shotgun parts back on it won't look any different.  Also, I'm going for a certain look here...whens the last time you saw an m82 with a red dot scope?

Should look good once it is completed.
Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Oops, just did a search on the m82, turns out I was thinking of the wrong gun

If you're looking for a good replica then a scope will do perfectly, but reflex sights just help better with aim for something like paintball.
