Personally, I wouldn't pick either of them.
1. The Epiphany was a big flop anyway, seeing how it was a slightly up'd Ion in which they charge you $200 extra. Also, you have a pretty good probably of getting a faulty bolt (have seen several Epiphany Firebolts break in half at the local field) 2.The Promaster...eh...I personally just don't like, but they are decent guns nonetheless, of course any gun can be with a new barrel, fixing the settings (stock ones suck and make the gun kick like a mule), which the Promaster needs. Also a good feedneck. But when it boils down to it, it's all personal preference, as you comparing two different operating systems. See if you can try both at your local field or whatever and see which one you like. Hope I helped some. Edited by Speed_Fed - 18 September 2007 at 9:54pm |

I have a Promaster and honestly, I think I might like shooting it more over my Intimidator. The stock settings/barrel/feedneck suck though, so fix those as quickly as possible.
For 200 bucks, you honestly cannot beat them. Mine shoots ropes. I should make a vid of it sometime. |

200 bucks? Since when?...
Well, I'd go with the Promaster because it's cheaper, though the investment of a new barrel and feedneck (Cam didn't have to buy one, he cross-threaded our cousin's lol) would put it a little over the Epiphany's price. |

Actually, the boards work differently (Epiphany uses more pressure I think, not sure). And BPS doesn't matter, 'cause unless you're cheating in a tournament or at any field you need to be capped at 15 (either way the Promaster is still faster STOCK then either the Epiphany or Ion).
The Promaster may have more kick than the Epiphany but the Promaster is easier to maintain and they shoot nice with a new barrel and the CORRECT settings. ![]() |
