So I just got Halo 3...

and cant play it because my friend is being dumped and needs someone to talk to. Bummer. I'll post my review later this morning..


EDIT: Ok so far. game sucks. his shields are horrible. they go away super fast. two shots and you have no shields. you can rush in like you used to, even on normal. walking around with the turrets is a plus though, just hit B and you have the chain gun in your hands. they changed some of the controls. X isnt what it used to be. cant figure out what it is yet (i dont like directions). brutes are annoying. but they remind me of the elites from the first halo. i am hoping that the 3rd levels and on will improve but so far its meh to me.

My review since the Midnight release.

The controls aren't too messed up, there is a Classic selection to make the adjustment way easier. I didn't adjust and am doing quite fine. The aiming ease is great, just like all Halo games. Love the Brutes! Aim for their heads, the helmet busts off and they are more vulnerable. Easiest/fastest way to eliminate them. Makes you have to concentrate better and improve your game, I much enjoy it. They've introduced a flash-bang of sorts, only no bang but just as annoying! I like the addition though, will add more variety and flavor to the game and system links/online.

And overall this game is visually superior to anything I've ever played. G.o.W. and Bioshock don't even touch Halo 3! It's brilliant, vivid, at times realistic even. A big rock doesn't just look like a graphic obstacle, it has texture.

Of course if you're not a fan of FPS then stay away. Me however FPS are my favorite genre of games. So I'm quite happy.

And I only got Limited, not Legendary edition. $160 for "making of" videos I've already probably downloaded months ago via xbox live and a mini-helmet so small I can't even wear it? I'll pass, not worthy of the asking price in my book. The game in a tin can will be good enuf for me. That's only an extra $10, and there's enough extras to warrant that type of minimal extra cost.


But work in the morning calls, so I'm not gonna be able to punch into Xbox Live tonight. Tomorrow is another story.

i dono. the aiming seemed different for me. and the weaker shields make me mad. the game does look sweet though. i dont like the Marines' new camo. it looks like the ARMY's ACU stuff, with all the grays, but its not digital. haha SGT MJR Johnson runs weird. anyone figure out how to turn the flashlight on?

I'm getting mine between Friday and Monday. I'm too cheap to pay an extra $15 on reserves and just bought it online.
