But to answer your question, I have a Trilogy and I quite like it. The problem is, they are getting hard to find, as WGP cut its 'cocker line a while back (excepting of course the SR). Out and out, though, I suggest the 98c Pro. You can do a lot with it, and they're very stable guns. Edited by DeTrevni - 25 December 2007 at 5:40pm |

The trilogy is nice but I only like the pro line personally. (obviously the most expensive) 1.5 triggers are just screwey.
Out of those though, the custom pro will do you well. You get a solid marker to begin with and there are lots of customization options down the road. Don't forget that you have tons of time to spell check your post before you press reply. A lot of memebrs won't even bother helping you if you can't take five seconds to edit. |

Thankyou for the feed back. I already have a Tippmann 98c Pro that I'm going to deck out. Are there any other markers that I didn't list that yall would recomend. I'm not a starter and need a different marker for speedball. I'm thinking on getting a SmartParts marker maybe the Ion XE, SP-8, or Shocker EXT.

Given current prices, the best you're going to find in a similar price range to the options you posted are the PMR, ICD BKO, and ICD ProMaster.

i can make $$$ pretty quick so thats not a problem for me. but anything around or under $600 will do (excluding attachments). another of my teamaetes just bought a Spyder Pilot for $100 that seems to be a pretty good high end if its shooting 280fps and the target is about 50 yards away. it has an e trigger that will still fire if it happens to run out of juice. its got 3 burst all the way to 15 burst shot and full auto (13 to 20 bps) and semi. what do yall think about that 1? i know that most burst/auto markers arent very reliable but it was able to last a round against me before running out of C02 lol.

Speeball =/= "Urban"
'98's can be tuned for speedball, however the time, effort, and money needed to do so is usually equal to just buying an upgraded marker. $600 as a base price for your marker means that there is far better out there than a Spyder. $600 takes you into the used EGO and new E-Tek range. It'll also get you an Invert Mini and even the lower-end shockers. |

Ok, the $600 range guns, do not compare to trilogies. The triligy was built as a low end, "cocker relative", or atleast thats what it is to me. How about this, we will start with easy questions. Do you have a fast hopper? Do you have HPA(Compressed Air {not CO2}). In the under $600 ranged, USED, you can get absolutely awesome guns. I would get a used Cybord, ive seen some 07 cyborgs go for $600, and trilogys do not compare to that. Or, new, I would get a DP F8. I know Ive spelled "trilogy" a couple of ways, and I still have no idea how it is really spelled. |

Mean Man, it's "Trilogy" you have it right.
I'm seriously starting to wonder if this guy is even going to listen to anything we say as he's posted a ton of times without seemingly paying attention to the answers he's getting. As far as trilogies go, they're a decent marker, but not high-end by any means. They were WGP's second attempt (after their ill-fated "ranger" that held no resemblance to the original WGP Ranger pump) to enter the low-end market and make a product that they could market to people with budgetary constraints. They're a solid marker, they're fairly upgradeable, and with an SF frame and MQ valve, they can even compete on a higher end. But like most other entry-level markers, they take as much money to upgrade to a competition level as it would take to just go out and buy a high-end electro. WGP realized that they'd do better selling a stacked-tube blowback that was simple to maintain and much more tuned out of the box and decided to ax the majority of the 'cocker line. As for the new WGP markers, believe it or not, the first reviews out there seem rather good. The synergy is getting great reviews (much to DeTrevni's chagrin ) and is fairing far better under playing conditions than a comparable spyder-clone. I've yet to hear much about the MG-7 though it looks like a spooler. As far as the SR goes, I'd love to get one in my hands. The tech behind it is rather sound even if the grip frame looks like the ugly love child of an early '00's Angel and and a 'timmy.
As to the OP's friend's "sick" trilogy, I'd love to see his reaction to this:
as it would run circles around the trilly day in and day out. |

I'm listening to what you guys got to say. It's 1 of my other teamates who is looking for another marker. I'm just posting the questions he's got. He doesnt have much $$$ so he needs a low priced good marker. I've been workin on getting a cyborg I just need to get some more cash. Thanks for all the advise, though.

Well, each gun has a pro and con. I would get a MacDev Droid though. I just like them. The more expensive guns that just came out now are~Vice, Ego8, DM8,Droid, and not many more pop into my head. Personally, at this market, I would look into a used Cyborg, they have really come down in price. Especially the 06s. |

Seriously... spyders are NOT high ends. They are low ends, very low ends. Almost as low as it gets. (almost)
Where are you getting that impression from? If you plan to use a high rate of fire, you will need hpa. On to your question: $600 can go a long way or a little way depending on of you will buy used or not. Here is a good breakdown of what you need to run high end: Hpa tank... $50-$180 used or $100-250 used Hopper... $30-70 used or $80-150 new Depending if you have a high quality one or not (don't cheap out on masks whatever you do), you may need a mask... $30-60 used $60-100 new I did that to give you an idea of how much it is just to set up a high end marker. Those are just the essensials. So tell us the amount that you would like to spend, what you require in a marker, and what equipment you already have. |
