I screwed in the remote line adapter on the back of my a5, plugged in the remote line, screwed in the HPA tank to the remote line, twisted the knob on the remote line so air goes through, gun was cocked, but when I fired no AIR shot through.

 Now I know this is not the gun nor the tank being defective because I saw the air go through the remote line and the gun shoots fine but the hpa tank is plugged in straight through. 

It seems as though my remote line adapter (the thing you screw in that connects the remote line to the gun) is not working. Does anyone have any ideas on what could possibly make that defective?

I could not find pictures of one online to compare either.

Ok I did some more research and I'll try making this a little more understandable = )

when I screw in the tank directly in the gun it works fine. (I also noticed HPA is much louder than CO2)

When I use the remote line, the tank and remote coil and slide check work fine in a sense that I can tell the air goes through. It appears as though from the female end the of line, through the ASA adapter, something is blocking the air from passing through and entering the gun.

Broken slide check maybe? Heres a way to check:
Disconnect the quick-disconnect from the ASA adapter bit.
Carefully open the slide check just a bit (not all the way or you may end up with the remote flailing all over the place). If air starts coming out the end then we know the problem is with the female QD/ASA adapter.ab Otherwise it's probably the slide check (or potentially tank-screw-in-bit).

lol I just figured it out. the guy who installed my slide check told me to slide it in the opposite way so no air was going through the gun...

oh and quick question, what are the odds that I accidentally cause the sliding part of the slide check to slide in game?

Not good (as in it probably won't happen). And even if it does, it's no big deal. The pressure won't bleed out, the gun just won't shoot. So really it will just take a second to fix if it happens. But like I said, while possible, it's unlikely that you'll accidentally move it.

the slide check takes some force to move unless you're running really low on air, in which case the marker wouldn't fire properly anyway.

make sure that you do not put the ASA adapter bit in to far.  That will also not let air get to your marker.
