I took apart my sl-68 2 a while ago to clean it. Today I found it and was trying to re-assemble it but the bolt gets stuck and won't go past the feed port.
The bolt will not go past that point. ![]() ![]() Maybe this will help? The hammer is already inside the gun, how do I remove it? ![]() Is the bolt supposed to be like this? I don't remember it's been over 2 years since I've used it. ![]() P.S. I really wanna take this thing out to the field. Quite frustrating cause I know the answer has to be simple. P.P.S If you need more info/pics just ask. Edited by Smokey_The_Bear - 16 February 2008 at 5:15pm |

I think my hammer is in backwards. I can't get it out, nor can I remove the valve, they're stuck in.
Should I just send the gun to Tippmann? I bought the gun used so would that lifetime warranty thing still cover it? |

They used to have a lifetime warranty, but it's more like they'll work on the marker for free and you have to pay for parts and shipping. But seeing as how the die broke for the SL68-II and they stopped making the marker years ago, they might have a tough time fixing it. I'd call them and find out. Otherwise, I'd try to find a local shop to see if they can help you. But if all else fails, you just might have to do it yourself. If you need parts, here's the place to go: http://www.tippmannparts.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.ca talog&categoryID=15 |

Problem solved, finally. My friend managed to get the valve out, then he hammered the hammer (pun intended) and got it out. I re-assembled it properly.
thanks to everyone who offered help. |
