For better accuracy and distance and speed, and just overall what would be better a modded 98 custom pro titanium or a modded pro carbine?

well first i think you mean 98 platinum.  But it comes down to preference.  Both will get the same distance but I know the procarbine is a nail driver.  They are both good guns but I personally would get the procarbine.  I have always liked its style compared to alot of other guns and they are indestructable.  The 98 should not be sold short though.  I started with a 98 and it was extremely reliable.  There are many more upgrades for a 98 as well depending on the route you want to go.  really it comes down to what you want out of the marker, the style of play it is intended for, and the style of gun you want.

ps. both have very different feels to them imo.

In stock form the 98 will have a faster rate of fire due to a much lighter trigger pull.

The 98 has all that you listed comapred to the carbine. The 98 has excellent speed and good accuracy (comapred to the carbine). All markers shoot roughly the sames distance unless you have a flatline/apex. I started off on the carbine and moved up to the 98. Carbine is bulletproof, but you can't mod it as much/easy as the 98. The 98 IMHO is the better buy. Get the carbine for pretend sniping.

I gotta say I think the carbine might be a little more accurate.  Friend of mine has a 16" J&J on it (looks good b/c of where the barrel sits) and the thing is one of the most accurate tippmanns i have seen.
