I'd go with a Thompson or a Steyr. I've seen a lot of P90s.

I always wanted to make my 98C look like a tommy gun, but never got around to it. It would be fairly easy too because the main shape is fairly close.

I'd go with the tompson, vary easy to make (thats if you are good with making things out of wood), it's a vary basic gun to start out with. Well post some pics when you have decided to start making your gun.
The stock would be vary easy to make, i made my own stock for my ak-a5, all i used was a jigsaw and a wood file.
