what barrel is good for me?

i am a woodsball player and i need a good barrel that is better than the stock one on the 98 custom. i need a barrel at about 8 in. so it is not too long or short.

You will want at least a 8.5"+ length. Most Aftermarket barrels are at least 10". There are tons on threads on this same subject. Use the Search feature or read the stickies in any of the forums and you will get your answers.

It's really an impossible question to answer without knowing the diameter of the paint you'll be using each time you play.  Get a kit

Kits are a waste of money unless you a professional paintball player. You need to check recheck and check your bore again, many times throughout the day for a kit to work. The paint changes constantly with diameter and shape. The loader also puts pressure on the paint and changes it safe. Your best option is a 14" barrel, with a .691 bore, overboring your barrel will assure no ball breaks, and minimal air escapes outside of the .002 inch gap.
