I have finally installed my Responce trigger on my tippmann 98 custom But i am having some problems. IM sure the installation went right But when it comes time to firing it dont work. It's not even semi-auto anymore so obviously i have done something wrong. i have to re-cock everytime and the balls just barly make it out of the barrel. Is there some sort of Adjusting?? Im Pretty confused.

I have an upgraded hopper for the RT kit along wit the flatline barrel and the remote coil, m16 handle and the g36 fixed stock.

Paintball is coming up soon and would love to test it out on some of my friends. lawl

There is a small screw on the rear fitting that takes a standard screwdriver.  This is the part that is adjusted.  All the way in completely blocks the flow of air.  You need to back this screw out a quarter turn at a time and test fire after each adjustment.

A few response/trigger (R/T) pointers:
  • If you have a double trigger, only use your index finger on the top portion of the trigger.
    • The R/T works best with a single trigger.
  • Use a gentle squeeze with the tip of the finger for best results.
    • A hard trigger pull will overcome the "kickback" from the R/T and you will not get the full effect.
    • "Sweet-spotting" for the full-auto effect is easy to learn once you do it a few times.
  • Do not adjust the R/T for faster than your hopper will load or your marker will cycle.
    • This is asking for misfires and broken paint.
  • The R/T works best when fired in short bursts.
    • It can fire longer bursts but this can cause air starvation which results in "shoot-down" or stoppages.
Edited Note:  From your description, it sounds like the problem may not be R/T related.  I would recommend breaking out the manual and verifying that the marker was put back together correctly.  Check everything, but pay special attention to the following:
  • Ball latch installation.
  • Air hose installation.  (On older markers that require replacement of the power-tube, it is possible to screw the hose in far enough to interfere with the valve spring.)
  • Air hose blockage.  (If Loctite was used, it could have gone someplace unintended.)

If you still can't figure it out, take it to a pro shop.  They can tell you what you did wrong.
