I just bought and installed a sock for my 98 platinum and i love it, but the one downside is i cant look down the barrel with my mask on. would an offset mount realy help with the whole aiming issue or does it just look cool? Next, does an expansion chamber realy make that much of a difference... I'm thinking about buying one but i realy would like some input from people that use them before i do. Any input would be helpful, thanks

Read the stickies. Most of these questions are addressed in them.
Regarding the questions: I've always preferred raised sight rails to offset but that is a personal opinion. If you are using CO2, expansion chambers can prove quite useful. |

From what i have read, the expansion chamber has alot to do with liquid CO2 geting into the gun when you tilt it downward. If i were using a remote, wouldn't that just work like a long expansion chamber?

I'm sorry i worded my first statement wrong. I meant if i didn't have an expansion chamber and i were to tilt my gun down some liquid CO2 would come from the tank and into my gun. I do realize that if i were to have an expansion chamber it shouldn't be an issue. I guess what i'm realy trying to ask is if i am using a remote, without an expansion chamber, is there any chance liquid CO2 would still be able to get in my gun?

do some research into regulators/barrells , hpa so you can skip the co2 problems and shoot your marker more and get a "feel" for it then you may not need the sight rail as much. |
