check your sear and or sear spring. whatever you do don't modify or mess around with the sear spring or you'll mess up the trigger. it seems odd that it could be this kind of a problem right out of the box but who knows. if you don't have confidence troubleshooting it yourself using the manuel take it back and tell whoever you bought it from what its doing.

Easiest thing you can do is call up Tippmann. Tell them your problem. If you bought it brand new it will still be under warranty. Send it to them. They will either fix it or send you a new one.

nickvandick is right. i have two x-7's and had to send one back to have the internals replaced. they did it and had it back to me in about three weeks. no charge no hassle.

Did you fill your CO2/air tank before use?
