**edited** ?!

Just had it for the first time.

It's nasty. It's terrible. It's like eating spoiled milk.

Why the hell do people buy this crap?

It's awful. And I love almost everything dairy.

It tastes awful, and the texture makes me gag.

Everyone I know loves it, mixes in fruits and such. I cannot stomach it.

I love cheese, and I hate cottage cheese.  I don't know why/how anyone enjoys it.

Because they have good taste?

I love cottage cheese, especially with certain fresh fruit.

There is nothing appealing about it.

It tastes like how I imagine an old sock tastes.

On a side note, I eat yogurt every day. It keeps the ol' southbound express running on time.

That's your fault for eating it plain.

I don't think I've ever had cottage cheese plain, but with the right toppings/fruits it's delicious and wonderfully healthy.

There are lots of other healthy things you can eat.

Cottage cheese only tastes good if your taste buds have been destroyed by fast food.

No, we call Philadelphia "cream cheese." Philadelphia is the famous name brand of the stuff, and the name of the first stuff on the market.

And yes, cream cheese is awesome on almost everything.

Cottage cheese is partially drained curds and whey.

It's awesome if properly prepared:
  • Spoon cottage cheese onto wax paper and freeze
  • Make a coating out of flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and just enough milk to allow the ingredients to mix into a thick paste
  • Dunk frozen cheese pieces in coating
  • Immediately deep fat fry
  • Drain and allow to cool for a few minutes (for safe handling)
  • Cut in half
  • Remove and discard inner (center) part
  • Eat remainder

Good stuff. My Aunt makes this desert called Pink Stuff essentially it's cottage cheese + your favorite Jello mix + tub of Cool Whip= Profit.

When I'm not turning it into a delicious late night treat, I tend to put it on salad and ditch the dressing.
