trying to install the expansion chamber on my a5 and the hose doesnt fit up on the e grip. the e grip uses a different fitting other than the 1/8" pipe fitting everything else does. Does anyone know how to remedy this problem. new hose or special fitting? The chamber is tippmann |

There should not be any hoses going into the E-grip..... You may want to look at the manual and figure out exactly what you are trying to explain. Better yet, post up a couple of pics.
All you should have to do to install and expansion chamber is unscrew the gas line from the tombstone adapter and screw the expansion chamber into that location. You can use the gas line possibly, but it will be long and you will have to loop it or something. In order to use it, you will have to remove the adapter on the gas line that used to screw into the tombstone adapter. It will come off, but might take some work. You probably would just be better off removing the entire gas line and replacing it with a shorter length of SS line. I thought the expansion chambers came with a shorter hose. Did you buy it new? the chamber was supplied with a hose and a 90 degree fitting. The hose and fitting use 1/8" pipe threads to connect the chamber to the tank adapter (on the grip). Well on the HE grip you no longer use the 90 which was supplied with the original grip that connects the tank adapter to the upper receiver. You ditch the 90 and connect the supplied hose from upper receiver and screw it directly into the tank adapter. The tank adapter uses a different style connection and not the 1/8" pipe threading. The connection looks something like a hydraulic hose screwed fitting or something similar. |
