Under the heading "One helluva way to spend your honeymoon" our good friends Sean "Spyro" Riggs and Melissa "Bunny" Robbins are going to get married at the event...and then...
They will be co-commanding as Jack Skellington and Sally Their opponent will be John "Tank" Tankersley of Tanks Paintball playing the role of the infamous Oogie Boogie. Initially Jack will be trying to capture "Sandy Claws" so that he can take over Christmas. He will, no doubt, realize the error in his ways but, by this time, Sandy Claws will likely be in the hands of Oogie Boogie, who would love nothing better than to see the old version of Christmas collapse and be replaced by "X-mas"; a more "mature" version of the holiday featuring more drinking and gambling. Oogie figures that, if he can remove the jolly figurehead, the transition should be easy. Will Jack and Sally save Christmas? It's up to you.... So it seems as if many of you would like to see a costume contest at
"Nightmare Before Christmas" next month in Houston. Of course we will
accommodate and have one Saturday morning.
 However, I think we will take it one step further. Since this theme is all about having fun I have decided to do all I can to encourage players to "get into the spirit" and have fun with the theme. That being said there will be a bonus to the score of the side that has the most players in some sort of costume that goes with the theme. (Watch the MOVIE!) It needn't be a specific character from the movie. You can be creative and just make up one that would fit into Halloween Town or Christmas Land. Even better if you are actually IN CHARACTER while playing. Judging will be done by an independent panel during the game. More fun to come... Edited by ViperScenarios - 12 October 2011 at 5:19pm |

Meet & Greet continues 8:01pm - New player orientation in front of main stage (Hosted by Team Odyssey) Saturday 7:00am - Gates Open 8:00am - Registration 9:45am - Costume Contest! 10:30am - Mandatory Player Orientation Noon - Game On! 4:00pm - Dinner Break 5:30pm - Game Resumes Midnight - Scheduled Stand Down (May be earlier or later depending on participation) Sunday 8:15am - 15 minute non-denominational church services in front of stage 9:00am - Game Resumes 12:30pm - Stand Down for Final Battle 1:00pm - Final Battle! 2:00pm - Game Over! Due to the burn bans and dry conditions the following rules will apply at the Viper event at TXR next month:
 NO open fires of any kindNO smoke grenades or pyros of any kindGas and charcoal cooking units can only be used for cooking, and must be completely extinguished anytime not in useAnyone using a gas or charcoal grill MUST have a fire extinguisher of their own within 20 feet of the grillAdditionally, if you smoke PLEASE, PLEASE watch your cigarette butts and ashes. Make SURE they are COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY out before disposing of them. If you live in Texas you KNOW what a scary couple of months these have been. We do NOT want anything to happen to TXR. If you see someone violating these rules or being irresponsible with fire risks report them to the staff IMMEDIATELY. Violators WILL be ejected from the property and the event with no refund. |
