Hello Guys, please I need tech assistance.
I've searched something like the trouble I have over the forums, but I couldn't find anything like it, so here it goes (sorry if there's an old/better thread for this already): 1) I got a brand new phenom eletronic, everything was working just perfect, then I realized that high rates of fire and no safety shots were kinda my type of gamming. At first disassemble I polished the chamber, the hook and also the side walls where the bolt travel. No problems back there, just to be sure the gun would work smoth. 2) The first 2 upgrades I had were TechT's BK bolt (black one), lapco barrel 14'' big shot assault (0,690 bore) and the phaze 5 airfit kit. Everything was working good no chops or anything, but still needed that extra speed (BPS), without the 3 safety shoots. 3) Then I got the APE board with fang trigger, at that point I knew I had to upgrade the cyclone for getting over 15bps with properly feeding. I didn't play much with these upgrades alone coz I knew the stock cyclone would not feed correctly over 15 bps. 4) Ok, my problem started when I got: the lapco hatchet+lapco uniflow piston housing+techt lightening ROD+techt squishy pads DS. After everything assembled, I realized that cyclone wasn't reseting when I cycled with my hands (no air). After some studying I saw that the new rod (techt) was touching the edge of the piston housing, and that were preventing that "click" on the hatched. I replaced it with stock rod and kinda solved the problem cycling with the hand (no air). Got some paint, aired the marker, set to 20BPS and PSHHH EPIC FAIL! Paint was tore appart in the breach, barrel and also at the cyclone... I couldn't even see for sure where the breaks were. First I tought it was the bad paint (midle quality - empire premium gold)... but then I got some really good paint (hard shells), and the ball breaking reduced drastically, but still had some breaks comtaminating the barrel and obviously ruinning consitancy and acurracy. I did some testing with re-balls and the gun gasps with some double shots... I FELT LIKE THE BOLT WAS JAMMING BALLS AT BREACH ENTRANCE, but I couldn't see it clearly. Then I rad some forums/videos for high BPS tunning, and tryed few mods: (i) trimmed the ball detence, (ii) cut 2 rings fo the piston spring (iii), cut 1 ring of the hatchet spring (the stock one since lapco doesn't provide a new one) and (iv) just put aside the oring that goes over the piston vents to increase the air flow. I've set the board ROF on 17BPS (not what I wanted/expected) and the breaking reduced a little bit, but today I got few chops, let's say 5 every 200 ( btw a crap score!!!) inside the breach, wich made me very angry and disapoinned with the marker I do maintenance every month! Everything greased and NO leaks. Anyway, I tough about getting a ripclip (BT) with FLASC adaptor, don't know if that would provide the 20BPS aim... and/or maybe get another marker - unfortunally. I like the phenom very much and the cyclone concept. I also see so many people succeding at 20BPS that I would try to invest few more bucks on it... Anyone can help? Sorry for bad spelling/typo... I'm not a native english speaker. Best Reggards, JOE |

Okay, first question I've got to ask is what kind of paint are you using? Some brands don't like to "play nice" with high rates of fire. Especially if they're a particularly brittle shell or a larger diameter than normal.

I'm using high quality paint (marbalizer, evil, dragon-PRO, GI, Dye) and also did some tests with REballs.
