Buying an Empire Mini soon, question about tanks

   Hi guys as the topic says I am looking at buying a mini here soon just to have a nice speedball gun to run if I feel like it and I was wondering what type of HPA tank I should use with it? I know in the manual it recommends a low pressure air tank and it states it operates at 200 psi, but I have seen videos(mainly the tech pb one) where he states using a regular hpa tank is fine. I was looking at buying a new tank when I buy the mini anyway so I am just trying to decide if I should go with a low pressure(450-500psi),extra low pressure(275-300)or just go with a basic 850psi hpa tank. It sounds like the basic 850 wont hurt the mini at all, but I was just wondering what advantages I would get if I used a lower pressure? Would I get better air efficiency, less kick, stuff like that. Anyone who has experience with hpa tanks at all I would love to get your opinion.

	This is where you should take what you see in videos with a grain of salt. Will a mini's inline regulator stand up to standard HP output tanks? Yes. Will it do it for long? No. I run a Gen 1 Mini and run an inexpensive empire 68/4500psi LP output on it and it's served me extremely well with no problems because I stick to the manufacturer's specs. Go with the LP output (450-500psi) and you'll be just fine. Stay away from the high-pressure output.

	Yeah I was leaning towards going to a low pressure tank just because the manual recommends it anyway but thanks, I guess the only downside is I will not be able to use the tank on my 98 but I already have an hpa tank for the 98 so it should be fine. I would rather not wreck my mini that's for sure. So would it best to go with a LP(450-500) or a SLP(300)? The only difference is because I'm looking at either a ninja or a guerilla tank and with the ninja you can adjust them or just buy a preset SLP tank, but with the guerilla you can just choose when you buy it.

	I find that the LPs give better performance on mid-range markers like the Mini due to the fact that you have restricted volume due to the marker design, so you can experience dropoff in velocity during sustained fire if you use a SLP tank with them. The higher-end markers that are SLP dependent have much larger airflow volume to make up for the possible deficiencies.

	oh okay thanks, I think I will have to buy a ninja tank and take out the shims which will get me to just a LP tank anyway, because for some reason any Canadian website doesn't have any SLP tanks. So I assume the stores and pro shops will be the same as well.
