So Tippmann Arms which is a new company by Denny Tippmann Jr. Just released their first real gun in decades!
The M4 .22LR! And I went up to Ft. Wayne to get one yesterday! I can't wait to shoot it! |

Nope, that's Tippmann Industrial which was an offshoot of the original Tippmann that made scale model full-auto machine guns. There's also Tippmann Armory which manufactures rolling-block rifles. |

Coolest part is, if you like AR style guns, This one is a replica, Actual charging handle, real push forward for the bolt, and a working door on the side where the shells eject. They even used their paintball knowledge to put out a serious shooter gun as they shot 10,000 rounds through one of the production models to make sure it would hold up real world. And filmed how the shells eject to make sure they eject consistently instead of going all over the place like low end .22's do.
I've gotta get some time to go shoot this soon!

1 year warranty, but it is Tippmann, so if they have issues they will handle it.
They are talking about other calibers. If this sells well... I got a pic of a bolt that looks to be for a .223 round... Price is MSRP $599. more info on www.tippmannarms.com http://www.tippmannarms.com The upper and lower are aluminum. Other parts are steel like the barrel. The mags and stock/foregrip are plastic. They did add metal to the mags where the bullets touch the top so that they won't spread if you leave it loaded for long periods of time. It is a really well made gun. Very easy to tear down unlike many guns that you have to get a mallet out to get them apart. This one you can do with your fingers no problem. It takes AR parts as well like trigger assembly, and body parts/grips. So upgrading it is simple. They have two mags right now, the silly states 10 rounders, and then freedom states 20 rounders. It comes with one mag. |
