Bought a house, which I'm enjoying throwing money into.  Just had to drop almost 8 grand into a furnace/central air.  I'm about to start my 3rd semester in my MBA program, and have found grad school to be relatively easy and very enjoyable.  I'm looking forward to it.  Still working in the same hospital lab I've been at for 9 years now which seems like forever.  I'm the lead tech now, which has given me more responsibility, and a good jumping off point for when my MBA will pay off.  Been trying to bike a lot more and explore our new neighborhood.  We're only 2 miles from Lake Michigan, so there's some great parks and trails to bum around on.

I miss paintball, but surprisingly not the tournament stuff that I played a lot in college.  I miss the backyard rec games, and the woodsball big games that I used to play waaaaay back when.  Unfortunately, the money is not there because I picked up different hobbies.  Like Tallen, I've been shooting a lot of shotgun lately.  On the sporting clays course I consider it a bad day if I slip under 40 out of 50.

Yep! Seems pretty much like a lock too at this point so long as I don't royally screw up. It'll be a completely different world, but one I think I'm suited for. There'll be more travel for sure, but it should be fairly local (max 1 state away). While the money isn't stellar, it's well above what I'd max out at with a unit-level position, and the fact that I'd have a lot of autonomy over my schedule would be excellent.

Ok,  I'll play...

I graduated high school in 2008 (yeah, I haven't posted in a while) went to college, and now hold one associates degree, two bachelor's degrees, and I have have plans to pursue a master's degree. I have been a police officer for three years, and I love my job. That being said, I still have plans in mind to advance my career. I also met a girl that I feel pretty confident will become Mrs. Glazener24. I hope you all are doing well.

Boy ain't that the truth... I went a couple years ago, and didn't buy the drinks package, thinking I could smuggle enough alcohol onboard that combined with island days, I wouldn't need it.

Booyyyyyy did I severely underestimate how much those days at sea bar tabs add up when you start in the morning and your whole day revolves around drinking. Not to mention the casino, though I'm not a huge gambler.

Never been on a cruise. Don't see the point.

DeTrevni, you need a boat yet?

I've been on a couple with the family when I was younger.  I'd much rather go to an all inclusive.

Tallen, if you've got one I'll take it. Water isn't in my house yet, but I've pretty much written it off. I've prepped as best I could and got out, but I don't think the house I'm in is any better off than mine. You can't stop water.

Neighborhood is underwater. Almost all of it. I was evacuated via airboat. House is trashed. Car is trashed. Been fun! I kinda want an airboat.

Started my 18th year on the job.  Have $360+K in my 401K despite buying a house and getting married 10 years ago.  Hoping to double the value by the time I start shopping for a casket.  Have a 13 yr old moody stepson, an 8 year old starting 3rd grade and a 6 yr old repeating Kindergarten.  Just got back from a 4 week staycation during which time I purchased a 2005 Colorado Z71 LS 4x4 crewcab.  Had 73,699 miles on it and I needed a winterbeater.  Other than that, all my markers are sitting in my basement with the seals probably gone and in need of replacing.  Can't remember the last time I played - probably 6 or 7 years ago.

For the price, they really can be an absolutely GREAT value, if you live within a manageable trip of a port. A 5 day, all expenses/alcohol included vacation to the Caribbean  for 600 bucks a person is tough to beat.

They're definitely what you make of them though. Have to be interested in seeing the shows, interacting on board and in the ports, etc.

They're not for everyone, but I regret not going on more when I was in my early-mid 20s, and I'd definitely go again with a group of friends and a cabin co-habitant.

If I go on another cruise it will be with some friends and the drink package will be purchased.

As for a cruise in general, I'm relatively close to the port so getting there is not a hassle. It's nice to sit around and eat whatever you want and have people take care of all the cooking and cleaning with my only responsibility being show up.

Be careful with that Colorado.  My CVs keep going to hell and taking the 4x4 with em.  I'm about to take it in for, I think, the 4th axle replacement in under 3 years from different shops.
