This is the marker: http://www.rap4.com/paintball/news/news_article.php?news_id=200
Here's a video of it in action: http://www.forrealadeal.com/rap4t68m4military.aspx

Some fields like skirmish.com only allow 250 fps, but the min on this weapon is 300 fps.

I like that there's no need for a remote or the large tank in the way. Is this marker good for field play, or will I find myself reloading all the time (paint & air)?

Its a military/police training tool. It looks cool but 18 paintballs is nothing. Seeing as how some people spit of 25+ bps. Unless you're playing a sem-auto only game you'll be hoplessly outgunned. The standard hopper is 200 balls.

I strongly suggest that you not even consider purchasing from rap4.

Other than if you are buying a tactical vest. They have camo scheme that you couldn'T find anywhere else and they are of good quality.

But stay away from anything that is related to the marker. They sell 3 to 5 times more than the same product sold on ebay. Example on top of my head like that: They sell a 3x9 Tasco scope $180 before shipping you can get it shipped the exact same scope for $45. It is ridiculous...

After having bought from them several times, I'd have to say, "Ditto."

I would have to disagree.  I have a few items from Rap4 and am actually very happy with them.  As for the marker a teammate of mine uses the T68 every now and then and loves it especially if you just want to pick and choose shots and save a lil cash on paint that day.  Now if you want to lay down a good amount of paint the marker is not for you.
Stay low, run fast, and hope that paintball doesn't hit your...

I love my RAP4 Gen4 and if you want to lay down a lot of paint, I'm building a nice box mag.

If you're really into milsim, they're probably fine, if you're willing to keep it maintained.

I've seen some that were literally just paintchoppers. Put in paintballs, pour chopped balls out of barrel, repeat.
