after a bit of playing CS:S tonight, and a bit of reading on here, i thought to myself, wouldnt it be cool to have a bomb that has to be planted and defused? with some not so simple electronics, it wouldnt be thaaaat hard to make. you could have 2 buttons on it, the arming and the defuse buttons, and wire up a 2 digit led, and a corresponding speaker to put out beeps, that speed up as it is approaching detonation.

with my less-than-basic electronic skills, i know its possible, im just not smart enough to make it. but it would make for some very very good woodsball games, and even indoor milsim games.

It would require a very large bomb base.  In order to spray out the paint needed it would require a huge barrel and an aeration system in order to blanket a large area, or it would require a powerful smoke gernade housed in a safe base that wouldnt cause a fire.

Its been mentioned before

Sounds cool. I know that in alot of scenarios they have bombs like this, but they dont go off. You have to find and defuse it while in the enemy base. I read about it in one of my paintball magazines.

I've seen remote-activated mines, similar to claymores. To defuse them, I guess you'd just take the batteries out . They costed like $300 though. Cool idea though, I don't see a problem with a timed or proximity mine.

well, i was thinking more along the lines that the "expolsion" would be a long consistant beep, and in order to prevent cheaters, a ref could be standing around the detonation zone watching it.

that in mind, i believe this to be very possible.

Oh, yeah, I understand what your saying now. Like the ref would call everyone dead within a 20 ft, 30 ft, etc. radius or something when it goes off. That'd be cool.
