ok this is kinda confusing but bare with me.

ok first it got a normal trigger and a kinda small trigger frame. and the piece of the trigger frame is cut. and the trigger frame is also a trigger. so when you walk the trigger the backs of your fingers hit the trigger frame (witch is also a trigger) and it shoots twice as fast.

 lets see if someone understands

thats easy to understand, micro switch placed on the inside of the trigger gaurd opposite of the trigger, i dont see why it wouldnt work but its kind of pointless

Essentially, that's just an elaborate way of making a 2-round burst.

Sounds interesting. Basically its a trigger that when you pull it, it hits another trigger causing the gun to shoot 2x as fast. I like the idea, but it seems like it would be hard to do.

Wow, that sounds familiar ;) Kinda like that trigger I made for my M98 that fires when pulled and pushed.

i think what he is saying is that there is 2 triggers that can fire the marker one consisting of the normal trigger and the other is the trigger guard. when you go to shoot your finger hits the trigger (like it would on any other marker) and then the nail on your finger hits the trigger guard causing it to fire again. is this what you have FROG MAN?

ok i think some of you guys get it.

do this make the peace sign with your left hand,,

point it down.

take your right hand and start walking one of your left hand fingers.

then make your back of your right hand fingers hit the other left hand finger.

Yeah, i understand.  It would be a fun project, and is very practical if you don't train your fingers to not hit the trigger guard.

I just got an idea that you may be interested in. It kind of makes a simple design more complicated but it could mean higher rates of fire with less effort if it works. I'll do my best to describe it. The basic design is what you suggested in this thread, having a switch on the guard and one on the trigger itself but instead of requiring physical contact with a push-button switch, you use magnets. If you make the pull very short (by either placing the switches closer or using a stronger magnet) all you would have to do is wiggle your finger a little and you'll get two shots for every pull. The best part is that it takes hardly any force to do this so you won't lose speed due to pressing a button. Most triggers are like clicking a mouse anyway but a magnet would probably be even lighter still. I think this would work best by using a ring trigger that is basically a big magnet. The point of having a ring trigger is so you can move it both ways with ease. Walking is usually faster than shooting normally but if the pull is light enough you'll probably still get some serious speed. You could also make two rings on the trigger so you could put two fingers on for those of you who like that feel.

Another trigger idea would be to have no real trigger on the gun and just put magnets on your fingers. It would take practice to get it right but once you learn how to do it you should be able to start cranking out shots. It would also work as a safety since there is no real trigger and rarely will people have magnets on them so it would be kind of hard to set it off accidentally. Of course you'll still need a barrel condom just in case but it will be much safer than a gun with a trigger. And you could attach a string to the side of the magnets which would then be tied on your wrist so they won't get far if they fall off. Or better yet, special gloves could be sold that have magnetic finger tips. There are many different ways you could make a trigger for this. You could keep it simple and stick with regular switches and a trigger but I think there's a good chance that using magnets will increase your firing rate. By how much I don't know but I think it's worth a try. What do you think?

the magnets don't sound very good, wouldn't they get stuck on the grip if there's a receiver magnet or something there?  that would also suck battery power in electros...

as for the original idea, if the trigger guard could be slanted in a way so when you're walking the trigger, your fingers don't hit the guard and the trigger at the same time, so its not a double feed, i guess.

They won't get stuck. The way I would do it is by making the trigger and switches have the same polarity so they will repel each other. I really would be better off giving a picture to describe this but until I can make one I'll do my best. The magnet would be attached to a small metal contact which can be bent fairly easily to touch another piece of metal. This is how the switch is made. Normally there is space between the two pieces of metal which means no current can flow and the gun does nothing. When the trigger magnet gets pushed closer it repels the one on the switch, pushing it into the other piece of metal which in turn allows current to flow thus firing the gun. You simply put one of these on both sides of the trigger and now you have two switches in parallel so that when either closes, the gun will fire. You won't have to worry about the timing because the trigger will be setup so that it can't activate both switches at once. You just give it about 1 mm of play to start with (can be adjusted if desired) so 1/2 mm in either direction from resting position will fire it. Decreasing the distance will make it fire faster but you don't want it to be too sensitive or else you could have a runaway trigger. This thing should also have a safety switch because it has the potential to start blasting in full auto if the pull is too small, depending on the recoil of the gun. I would design it so that it can't be adjusted like that for safety reasons.

Hopefully I described it well enough that you can envision my idea but if not, I'll have a picture soon to clarify. I honestly think this idea has potential and I'm going to add it to the list of things I want to make for my gun. I'll try to make a prototype trigger and find out how quickly I can shoot with it. In the meantime, look it over and let me know of any flaws in my design. Also, Frog man, if you feel that I'm hijacking your thread with my idea, let me know and I'll start a new one. I'm just curious as to what people think about this and I posted it here because it could help you with your idea. But if you want me to get my own thread, let me know.

Edit: In response to the 2 triggers sucking battery power comment, I disagree. Having 2 triggers may result in your batteries dying faster but not because more power is being used to fire the gun. Each shot still takes the same amount of power and you'll get the same amount of shots per battery. The reason it will seem like you're going through batteries more quickly is because your ROF will be up. Shooting 10 bps for 20 hours of battery life is no more efficient than shooting 20 bps for 10 hours, you still shoot the same amount of paint but in less time at 20 bps. The switches don't draw any power because, basically, a switch is just a wire that can be broken/returned to normal at will.

Ah, easy. A small plastic piece that stops the second secret trigger from working. Much like a safety, but micro-safety-ish. So, when the ref runs over, you just bonk the little know and hey, everything's ok. when he buggers off, you click her back on. Of course, that's cheating. However, since the A-5 is pretty simple to switch grips, using this in every day weekend play... every day weekend? What the crap did I just say? In normal play, it would be fun. In tourneys, you just switch over to your normal grip.

I would advise against that. If you don't follow the rules then you don't have the right to complain if somebody else does.
