I have an A-5 with a response trigger and wanted to inquire about swapping out the stock trigger frame (with the response trigger mounted) with the electronic trigger frame also offered by Tippmann. In this case I would not want to use the R/T. How do I (temporarily) disable the R/T while using the electronic trigger frame? I have heard about things like special caps that people put over hole where the R/T gas goes from the receiver to the trigger frame and the like, but I have no idea where to get them or if they even exist.

In order to swap between the E-grip and the R/T, you will need to either grind or cut the hole in the grip frame where the RT hose goes in, and just leave it there. The air will still flow through like normal, but obviously the piston and such aren't there to work in the E-grip. There may be some fit issues, but I don't think so. If you want to stop even the airflow to the RT when you swap out, you will need to remove the banjo fitting and replace it with the stock fitting, with only one port on it, instead of the T fitting. This would require a screwdriver and some time, so it's not an "interchangeable" type thing to do. Hope this helps you! jj |
