   Well, another D-Day has come and gone. Believe it or not, recruiting for 2009 has begun.

2009 German 6th FJR Recruiting 
The German 6th is the "tip of the spear" for the German War Machine. The "Parachute Hunters" are recruiting for Oklahoma D-Day 2009. This event is held in June of each year and is the largest scenario paintball event in the world.

Having 180 slots, 6th FJR "Green Devils" are looking for prior service members, hard core players and entire scenario teams to join our ranks.

Mission: Stop the Allied Airborne from reaching their objectives and act as the Quick Reaction Force for the German side. 

Tactics: Ambushes, raids, direct action missions and patrolling. Although we're based on a WWII German unit, the Green Devils employ current US Army Doctrine and run more like a modern day US Army Ranger Regiment. 

Organization: 12 Different Teams making up 3 Battalions with a Heavy Weapons Platoon with Double Trouble Operators and Flamethrowers as well as an extremely stealthy Recon Company run by a Special Forces Trained Sniper. The unit is a 50/50 mix of Prior Service Military (USMC, US Army, Navy and Air Force) and seasoned scenario operators. 

The unit has space for walk-ons, small teams and entire scenario teams. Each Battalion has been regionalized which gives you an opportunity to play and even train with your team mates prior to the D-Day event. 

Wolf Guard and Colorado Intensity, hail from the Midwest and anchor 1st Battalion 
The Hellions (ODA 133/153) are from the Upper Midwest anchor 2nd Battalion with Lonnie "Grendel" Colson leading it up. 
VICSEC are from the Southeast and anchor 3rd Battalion. 
And then there are the Valkyries, guaranteed to steal your heart and soul.
Rest assured you'll be slinging paint next to your buddies, experienced woodsballers and highly elite veterans, not a bunch of noobs.

This year, the 6th even fielded two tanks to wreck havoc with the Allies.

To join the 6th, you must complete the Paratrooper Readiness Assessment Course given the Friday before the main game. During the week leading up to the main game, we'll provide unit training that includes ambush techniques, patrolling, tank support, and other immediate action drills specifically designed for Woodsball. You'll take the field with confidence and leave the game with a victory as well as knowledge of advanced paintball skills that will enhance your everyday play. 

In its three years of existence, the 6th FJR has developed a reputation as being an aggressive, solid unit that can stand toe to toe with units twice their numbers and give a good accounting of itself. If this sounds like the type of woodsball you want to play, the 6th is the place for you.

	yeah well we took coleville in 19 minutes adn it was only 40 of us, the rest of the day was spent taking bases from you guys. To keep people coming to the event and not get discouraged the losing side of last year gets a great advantage for the next year, otherwise it would be bad business for one side to constantly win. That being said if it wasnt for the 101st pathfinders the ally score would have been significantly lower.

	Yes, the Allies took Coleville....but it was the CW Airborne, 82nd and the 101st and the total was not "just 40 players". The 101st PF were but a part of the Allied push against Coleville. Interesting that you seem to discount the effort by all the other Allied players. But then, YOU WERE NOT THERE "i wasnt able to go to D-Day this year but my buds did and have still got a VERY ichy triggerfinger, they wanted to go to the local field, then you brought this up and they bit on it, seeing how its so close it would be a great possibility of us going. I'd love to get my redemption from AWOLing on D-Day last minute." Ace of Spades, 3JULY, Operation Market Garden thread Again, your assertion that the game coordinator gives "great advantage" to one side or another to encourage attendance is pure nonsense; otherwise there would be no back to back wins in the history of the game. History proves otherwise. The game is what it is, with each side putting fourth considerable effort.
