Hi,
cause i´ve got no answer from Tippmann may someone here could help me get this Information !!!

I own a TPX and it´s not possible to get more than 260fps with HPA.
So the TCR Valve inside is more milled so it has more Volume so it should has more fps !?!?!?

If the Valve of the newest TiPX is milled like the TCR one i would try get me one and see what happens.

If you screw down the powertube you will see if there many holes(9) it´s nothing new but if there 3 longholes it´s milled in TCR style !!!

Hope someone can help me !!!

I tried everything: Using ouputpressure 1100psi, sealed the reliefvalve(no movement possible), turned the Reg. as much as possible out that the Shells fit really Close.

If the worst will happen i go buy me a small CO2 Tank for:

Have you changed the return spring out for one that's less stiff? Given that it's a FASOR (Forward-Air, Spring Operated Return) setup, the dwell (how long the valve stays open) is determined by the return spring and no matter what volume you have in the valve, if it doesn't have enough time to dump that greater volume because the return spring is closing the valve too quickly, it'll continue to chrono low. That's about the only thing I can think of as it's how we used to deal with the same issue with malfunctioning Automags back in the day.

Thanks for your idea ! Mmhhh i understand with a softer spring it should open a bit longer, but the most Punch will be by the pressure volume which is allready inside the Valvbody. I dont think that the line from the reg. will fill the Valve inside that quick that it helps much.

Why they should mill the TCR Valves that way when it wont help !?!?

My guess is that it's cheaper and faster to do it that way than to try and punch 9 individual holes into the structure of the valve body. Fewer moves by the CNC mill, less precision needed, etc.

Also, it might be worth asking the guys over in the Automag section of mcarterbrown.com for some ideas. The TiPX and TCR are basically automags.

Yes, the TCR valve will shoot much higher than 300fps in a TIPX with HPA.

If you can get the valve and bolt for the TCR then I would get it. You also will need the firing pin as well as it is different.

The larger open area allows more air through the system to increase the shot velocity on HPA. With Co2 you can get higher shot speed as they have more "punch" as the gas expands. Where HPA doesn't expand.

Thanks for the info !!!

What´s different at the firing pin ?

I´ve done some Jobs on my stock TPX Valve:

I have not tested so far but i´m optimistic(not that much now cause you wrote about the firing pin) !!!
