ok, for starters i'm new here, but i used to own an account but forgot the name and password but anyways i was reading these threads on paintball shotguns, and i was inspired by this thread: "my paintball shotgun." so i got to work on this idea and i'm a hunter so i have an empty shotgun shell layin around (.410) so i unscrwed my autococker paintball barrel, put the shell in, so thats when i refered to the forum for help, so here's my idea. i need something that can fit into my stock WGP 2004 prostock 'cocker barrel, even if its a tight fit i'm gonna have some twin tied around the tube thing that i will use. (I NEED SUGGESTIONS FOR WHAT TO USE FOR A TUBE, PLEASE HELP!) the tube contraption would have a bunch of those little paintballs that are like the size of a peble. then if u people are fimailliar with a shotgun shell, it has wadding inside of it, so i would use the wadding (A.K.A. cottonballs in my case) to plug the tube to stop the paintballs from rolling out. and just like a shotgun shell the wading would be shot out with the pellets. then after its shot i would pull out the paintshell (thats what i call my contraption) out by the string hanging out of the barrel (thats why it needs to be kind of a tight fit in the barrel) I think i covered all of it, so please help me with what i can use for the shell, i'll even make some-kind of adapter for it. So i think you can tell i'm a field player (cuz of my 'cocker, whick i am a fireld player)/MilSim (cuz my nam, and i am a MilSim player) so please give me some help, this will be kool when i finish this and put up pics PEACE! |

I do agree that it would be cool, but it will probably not even work. BTW you are probably in for quite a flaming from someone or another.

to really make a shotgun paintball gun work someone needs to design a
whole new gun with either multible barrels in revolver formation or one
large barrel that will hold several paintballs....my guess is the
multiple barrel scenario would work better becuase in a single barrel
solution with all those balls banging together they are gonna
bust......it would take quite a bit of air to get all those balls
moving though.

ok, i got an idea now and i'm gonna try it this saturday or sunday, i have made an adapter (it allows the chambered paintball to shoot with the huge shotshell too, so no worries) which has a hole in it, then i'm gonna have like 4 or 5 straws that i will be able to remove and put another load of straws (the shotshell) in the adapter, and each chambered paintball will be able to shoot with the shots in the straws (by the way i will put like 4-5 airsoft paintballs in each straw, which is the ammo for this contraption) and this is it for now. i'm gonna use this until i have enought money for one of those gernade laucher things that mount on the bottom of your gun. i will write about the outcome after i test it this weekend. I HOPE IT WORKS!

Nto necessarily, monk. You can probabl;y still get some good range with this, jsut with a fair bit of spread- not unlike a real shotgun. I suspect that you could get at least 50 feet with this, albeit with serious spread. It could have applications, though.

Regardless on all the things that might be bad about it, you have to admit that this is one of the best "paintball shotgun" ideas ever. |

If shotguns were meant to be in paintball there would've been one by now. |

Hush, tool. Your logic is fallacious. FYI, Scepter has been working on a shotgun for a while now.
15" at 50' spread? That's bloody perfect! Did you get to chrono it and see how the velocity held up? Also, how quickly can this be reloaded? Also, how many balls were used? Edited by brihard |
