So im cleaning my a5 marker. And im trying to pull the valve out of the valve assembly. Ive tried tapping it hard and using plyers to no avail. It seems to really be stuck. Should i just order a new one?

The best way to remove the valve from the power-tube is the insert a wooden dowel through the power tube from the front, and gently tap it on a table (with force, but not so much that you cause damage to the power tube) on the dowel end, this will drive the valve assembly out of the power tube.

Mine was stuck tight as well. You can pull it out gently with a pliers as this video demonstrates:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6ErzPLWwp4 (if the above hyperlink does not work, then search YouTube for "Tippmann A-5 Power Tube & Valve Basic Maintenance" to find this video) However, I would wrap the Valve Plunger post in some rubber so that the teeth of the pliers don't scratch or dent the Valve Plunger post. Also, you might want to put some oil around the inner circumference of the exit opening of the Power Tube (as close as possible to the valve assembly) since it is probably a dry "O" ring on the valve assembly which is causing the valve assembly to get stuck inside the Power Tube. I used this method above and it was successful. I then oiled the "O" ring and the inside of the Power Tube to prevent this from occurring again. Bob |
