14 or 16 inch barrel?

   i im going to get a tipman 98 custom platum, and i was wondering sence i heard that it would be better to upgrade the stock past the  81/2 one that came with it witch one would be better they are bothe the same price ($50) canadin, also would a cyclone addapter be nessary if i was just playing for 7- 10 times a year. 
would i need a stock / extra co2 cannasters (as i am all ready perchising some pods) what cind of pouch or carrers would you recomend
