    Posted: 26 June 2005 at 12:28pm

my friends and i (about 20 of us) want to have a scenerio game in my friend's woods. does anyone have some good ideas for one at night that would work with only 20 people? details please. i was thinking two teams of 10 wear a glowstick of the teams color and use tactical flashlights to see. the objective of each team would be to capture all 4 bases (marked by glowsticks) that have sniper towers in them. but i think having one at night would cause a lot of people to camp.

Don't use flashlights, all that will do is give you away.

A-5
E-Grip
JCS Dual Trigger
DOP X-CORE 8 stage x-chamber
Lapco Bigshot 14" Beadblasted

Optional setup:
R/T
Dead on Blade trigger

Flashlights will give you away easier, but that might make the game funner.

Try some attack/defend stuff. That is usually fun.

Search www.google.com for scenario game ideas. I bet there's tons of them.

Special Ops Paintball sign up if you haven't already, and use the Game locator and get more people.

Then try some attack/defend/ secure area stuff.

i came up with this.  does it sound good?  its based on warpig.com's recon game.

Generals

Teams must check into several checkpoints, the problem is, they all have to check into the same ones.

Teams

- Two 10-man teams

Two players from each team will be a general, and two players from each team will be a medic.

Suggested Time Limit

One hour. The time limit can be changed to accommodate variations in field size, cover, number of players, etc.

Setting Up

1. Four checkpoints (bases with bunkers) are spaced throughout the field. Each is clearly marked with a glow stick(s) that is a different color than both teams.  Below the glow stick at each checkpoint, there is a marker (pen) hanging from a string.  Each checkpoint has different color marker (pen).

2. Each general has a card attached to his wrist (a playing card will do) by a string, rubber band or elastic band.

3. Each team starts near a checkpoint.

4. Each team will have a certain color glow stick that all members of that team must wear.  One glow stick per person.

5. Each general will have a whistle.

Rules

1.     Generals cannot change during the game.

2.     All players must have their team’s glow stick fully visible on the front or back of their torso.

2.       Players who are eliminated must stay where they were hit.

3.   All players must begin the game at their flag station (or assigned starting point) and cannot leave that area until the game begins.

4.       Players who are eliminated are temporarily out of the game (unless touched by a medic).

5.       Players who are eliminated may not, by word or gesture, indicate any intentions or locations of the opposing team members.

6.       Medics cannot heal themselves, but can heal any other team member any number of times by touching the eliminated player

Winning

One general must mark his card with the markers (pens) at all the checkpoints.  He must then blow his whistle to end the game.

Tactical Advantage

This shows you that sometimes the objective is more important than mixing it up with the other team. When you are marking your card (when you are a general), set up a circular defensive position around the checkpoint. You should all be facing outwards. This way if you get attacked, you're not all gaggling around the checkpoint.

This is an excellent night game scenario. People are very cautions about moving around. The last thing you want is to stumble on the other team! For night game scenarios, it's best to have the velocity cut down to about 220 feet per second (fps).

You need to figure out how often to re-insert people also.

Nobody wants to stand out in the middle of nowhere till a medic shows up.

not bad merc, but you should get rid of the players wearing glowsticks. Give each team one good sized lantern or flashlight. Or the best way, plan your game when the moon is bright.

I always like a good hostage situation. Two guys guarding the hostage/s, five guys on patrol, maybe a few more spread out.  The rest can try to free the hostages w/ out getting them killed.

Its not hard to see at night.  My first game was at night, my mask had its tinted lens on it.  I adapted and did decently.  No flashlights and no moon, just the stars.

Playing in the dark was hard to play in woods. I had to totally depend on sound and silouhets(sp) It was a spray and pray kind of game. Yes, the game did finally end, because when we were attacking, we ran right into the center of the other team. We knew we were close to them, but we didn't expect them to be that close.

Using glow sticks and flashlights actually ruins the point of playing at night.

There are tons of simple, yet cool, ideas.

* Someone impartial sets two objects out in the woods (lawn chair...tire...whatever). That's your downed experimental plane and wounded pilot. One team tries to rescue the pilot (carry object out) and destroy the plane (place a strip of duct tape or something), and the other tries to secure the plane and retrieve the pilot for questioning.

* Team A must make it from one end of the field to the other. Team B waits inside to prevent that from happening.

* Team A must defend a spot for 30 minutes. Team B must capture it in under 30 minutes.

another way i read someone palyed a ngiht game is everyone wore reflectors liek the kind that are on bike wheels on people use to amrk where their driveway is or i guesss you could use reflective tape. well everyone put reflectors on and everyone had a flashlight so when you shined it noe someone they stuck out. so if you shined your flasklight you would give away your position but if you had a general idea of where an oponent was then you would msot liekly find them

Hold on here, how do you think soldiers fight today in the dark. Well night vision of course... Let me rephrase, how do you think the soldiers in the vietnam war fought at night. Absolutly nothing... Only few soldiers were equipped with night vision. For all the rest it was all about there other 2 senses, sound and touch. In some cases sight but thats only because a soldier would shoot were he saw the muzzle fire. Paintball there is no muzzle fire soo its harder. If you really wanna Mil/sim your experience, no glowsticks or reflectors. Only on bases and or fort bunkers. On people... thats just stupid.
