Just got the Carver One "Sniper' package, 20in barrel, rear colapsable stock, bi-pod, and a 'electronic' red dot sight(useless) and have some initial observations.

1. Out of box and assembled has a true rifle feel, primary reason I got it, never a fan of short or carbine rifles.

2. Slight tweek to get hopper out of sight line now have a 8X on it to scout and observe, see thru mount means if not sense shooting can use marker sights.

3. Slightly more accurate than my moded 68Special, range about the same, 30m is about the extent of non-howitzer arcs.

4. For some reason a gas-hog, goes thru both CO2 and CA faster than I thought it would. Only get 20 more rounds out of a 9oz than a siphoned 9oz for the Special. Figure it is barrel length, more open adjustment to counter length/friction of barrel to get 285fps.

All in all nice feel, good shooter for mission intended, and overall a 8 out of 10. First actual operational play is TWC 2010, will be in snoop and poop mode, and a sit, shoot, then scoot at targets of opertunity. After the initial flurry of activity pop the solo's or small groups that tend to wander the trails.
Will probably get a stock Alpha Black Tactical, or TPX pistol for 'backup'.

If I remember correctly, It's been shown in one of those backyard "paintball science" tests that anything past about 16 inches of barrel length and you start loosing the fight against friction. You're spot on in your efficiency problem troubleshooting.

Good luck, and have fun with it at TWC. Sounds like with some tweaking you might have a new primary.
