I have a 98 custom pro act, does a normal 98 custom stock work for the act model? I have seen stocks that say they were for the 98 custom act and didn't know if i had to get the ones specified for act or not. Thanks.

You will have to buy a stock that is ACT capable. Non-ACT 98's do not have the top ACT spring and corresponding hole in the stock that the spring sits into. If you happen to get a non-ACT stock, you can modify it to accept the ACT spring by carefully measuring and drilling a hole into the stock for the spring to sit in. Make sure not only to measure where it goes, but also keep track of the depth so as to drill the hole the same depth. If you do not fee comfortable doing this, stay with stocks that specify that they are ACT capable. |
