Hey guys,

I have a 400$ budget for begginers.

No matter what I'll be buying a 79$ HPA Tank and a 67$ Mask.

That leaves me with 254$.

Now I need to decide! Do I buy the 175$ BT4 Assault with a 175 Round hopper (and a 16 oz co2 tank, but I won't be using) or a Tippman 98 Custom with a 200 Round hopper and a 16" barrel.

I'll be playing woodsball. Thanks alot,

defil3d

I have never used a Bt so I cant help you with the Bt part, but I got a 98 as my first marker and it is good but you will definitely want a electronic hopper. I would suggest if you have the money to get a Tippmann A-5 $180 great gun and also has many mods for it. In my opinion i think its worth the extra 40 bucks to get the A-5. I should have done that but I didn't do my homework.

Heres a link for the A-5 free shipping

Hope that helps

I think I'll just buy an extremely cheap mask, and wait until I have the $ to upgrade. I NEED the HPA tank, and the barrel is important too. I've only used rental masks, so a cheap mask that fogs won't bother me.

From what I'm looking at, I'll be buying a HPA tank (a bit cheaper than what I originally looked at), the package you showed me and a 30$ mask. I have 110$ left over. I want to spare 50 for an event coming up on the 24th (free admission, 6/c paintballs :D). Should I upgrade to a mask I'll keep or get a longer barrel?

And what exactly is "bore"? What should work on that site with an A5? Thanks.

I would get a better mask and stick to the stock barrel for now because you are going to want to play in the event and be able to see. I'm not to sure about the bore size:( depends on what paintballs you have not all paintballs are exactly .68 and you want to over bore a little. depends on the paintballs. what size HPA tanks???

If you are going with HPA I would save up and buy a bigger one personally.  I used HPA and an A5 for a bit and the 48/3000 tank wont last you long in a big game.  Personally I recomend at least a 45/4500 if not a 68/4500.  The best rule of thumb when calculating shots is the tank size x 10 for a 3000 tank and the tank size x 15 for a 4500 tank.  That being said you also dont have to drop alot of money to get a good barrel and you dont want to go too long.  it is a misconception among newer players that longer is better on barrels.  this is not the case.  I usually use a 12" but will go anywhere form an 8 to a 14.  I have an 8" Lapco bigshot that is amazing and a J&J kit that I love as well.  J&J barrels give you a great barrel at a great price.  Just thought I would throw it out there to help you save some cash in the long run.  Also the A5 works very well off of CO2 if you have to start with that.  I ran mine for years with CO2.
Stay low, run fast, and hope that paintball doesn't hit your...

I agree with thejudge either us Co2 now or get a bigger HPA tank. Since you are located in ontari, Canada i think then you should probably use HPA
