Hello all,

My tippmann 98 custom will not stop firing when i shoot it. It doesn't shoot anything except the first shot, it just goes auto and I have to take the CO2 out (quickly) to end the madness. Does anyone know whats wrong with it? One of the O rings had broken which was the start of the problem, so I replaced it with a tippmann o ring but still the problem persists. Anyone have any ideas? I did silicone it with airsoft silicone but maybe not enough? Any insight on this problem is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your tank is low on air.

While my first instinct is to agree with God, your post leaves some questions unanswered.

You can also end the madness by grabbing the charging handle and holding it to the rear.

Which o-ring was broken and what do you mean by a "Tippmann o-ring?"

Exactly what did you put airsoft silicone on?  This shouldn't be necessary at all.

Any insight on this problem is greatly appreciated.

hi you probaly have the same problem as you have. you have to clean part Blue and part green. Part red is the pin. if the hole the pin goes to is geting larger  you may have to change the body reciever or you can glue the pin, so it stay stick.  Please let me now if this fix your issue:)

Best regards Dagfinn Vikse

It is important to note that this rapid-misfire will damage the sear if it happens a lot.  When the sear does not catch to stop the bolt, it gets hammered.  This slowly rounds the edge of the sear.
