ok i just want to tell all u ion lovers something. love and cherish your ion and take really good care or it. i just found out why its so light. ALOT OF THE PARTS INSIDE THE ION ARE PLASTIC. So if u wish to make ur ion last take really good care of it

Even though you are full of BS, I still think Ions suck.
Congrats to SP for sending us an entre batch with bad solenoids.

Well the fad you speak of sure does rip up everyone... I think it's
more than a fad, I think it's an aweosme, affordable gun. More
and more upgrades come out and more and more people buy the
Ions... I am glad to be a part of this fad.

I am not sure if what he says is true or not, because I have never seen an ion IRL, but...
If you think plastic is a bad thing, open up your tippmann. Powertube and front bolt are plastic, they are probably the two most reliable parts in the gun. The rear bolt/sear wears over time, but that front bolt keeps chuggin'.

Your still full of it. The only plastic parts on it are..
- Body shell
- trigger
- gauge lens
That would be it. And yes I have opened one before. I am an Ion tech at
my field. Oh yeah, there is one plastic part in the valve too.

I open mine after every day of play. The valve tube is aluminum, the back bolt is steel. The macro is plastic, as well as the body shell, trigger and gauge window.
to the original poster...pick one up and disassemble it before being an ass...I truly doubt if you have the one you say you do (sig) you wouldn't even have posted.

my freind got one and shot Co2 in it and the thing broke!!
that dont sound to impressive to me if they cant even shott Co2

And as for the shell try cutting it with a knife...It's so frigan
hard.....To install my QEV I had to cut the body...Yea I had to use a
drill instead to cut it

that's probably what the ion got the nickname "fisher price shocker". I
don't have a problem with guns being plastic. I'm not about to go
smashing my gun against a rock. Take care of your stuff, it'll last (of
course I'm a good one to talk, my 98C valve assembly is cracked)
