first it sounded like you explaining what a gun dose
when its out of air. it will fire rapidly and then go off
full auto till its almost out of air. What i would do is
look where the tank srews into the gun and see is it
is clean and dirt isnt getting into the hole your ball
brakeing situation may be due to your fps screw is to
far out.(out is high in is low) but i dont know. if you
dont know what its supost to look like look in the
owners manual or on this site some where they
have the assembly pictures from the manual. (or
cheap paint might have somthin to do with your balls
braking

Make sure the paint you're using fits in your barrel (i.e. not too large) and your velocity isn't too high.

I think it is the power tube. It has a chip at the end were the rear bolt it. Do you think this is the problem?

That shouldn't cause any problems except with blow back (re-cocking). Ball breakage would occur around the front bolt. The front bolt pushes the ball into the barrel, then air is released. It sounds like the ball isn't fitting into the barrel, or the balls are too brittle for the bolt to hit them.

if the bolts not comming back all the way you could be breaking paint... replace the powertube and see if that works.

The powertube is definitely the problem.. With that chip, the seal is broken so when the bolt comes back, the air is escaping instead of feeding to the cyclone which using the blow back air to turn the cyclone. The timing is off, so the balls are getting busted as they drop.

Take apart your gun. It sounds like part of your problem is that you were low on air.
