I can't disassemble my power tube but a piece of it cracked and it won't hold air so I have to remove the valve and steel braided hose. Any easy ways to go about it?

get a good fitting wrench. a shop towel,a cig lighter. use the cig lighter to heat up the connection between the ss hose and where it goes into the valve. now don't get it glowing red. just so the hose is warm to the touch, this will help loosen up the thread loc.put the valve in the shop rag put the rag with the valve in your hand ,put the wrench on and turn it.it will come.try to keep anything from getting into the valve itself,,clean the threads the bset you can, than use teflon tape on you ss hose threads and put in back together. just take it easy on the heat. you can do it

And once you have removed your SS line, to take the valve out from the power tube, just get a screwdriver or long thin object and push hard through the powertube thin part. Dont worry about scratching anything inside, just try not to hurt the powertube. It should be hard to get out, and will come out with some force, so be carefull.

To put it back, oil up the whole valve (mostly the o-ring outside), line it up, and push it to the right position. I suggest you use a wooden or plastic stick to line it up by pushing on the SS line threads. Anything metal on those threads will scratch and possibly stip out the threads.
