not sure I think you can get grips from axe or dye

but the flame trigger helps bleve it or not

Without going electro, a new 3-way (and some careful timing) will be your best upgrade.  The Orracle or CT 3-ways are very short and quick.  Triggers and trigger frames can also help.

Also depends on which 'cocker you have...is it the prostock, or an STO, or what?

3-way for sure, but you'd better be good at timing!  Shocktech Bomb has been renowned as the big daddy for a long time.  But anything from Palmer's Pursuit Shop is also pretty top of the line. http://www.palmer-pursuit.com

The STO ram is a darn good ram...if that's on there I'd stick with it, no need to replace.  Other than all of that, look at the moving parts...lighten them up and naturally they'll move faster.  This'll be the bolt, hammer, cocking rod and back block.

But by the time you replace all of that stuff, the price is up there, you may just consider going with the eblade.

The timing is part of the reason I recommend CT/Orracle 3-ways.  Adjustable directly on the 3-way, with no need to worry about collars.

QEVs and TRVs are wasted on a mech cocker.  Completely unnecessary.

electronic frame such as Race, E-blade, E-blade two, and WorrBlade.

A new ram such as the 44. magnum or STO.

New 3-way such as the Shocktech Bomb.

Blade trigger.

Derlin bolt will decrease internal wear.

umm yeah i would add more but i g2g.
The desire for polyester is just to powerful.

Then maybe I am missing something.

My understanding of QEVs is that they allow the ram to cycle faster.  Since no mech cocker ever approaches the max speed of the ram, they are irrelevant to mech cockers.

Am I wrong?

its not just for the speed, its just a bunch easier on the ram. it removes all the excess gas right off the bat so it does not get in the way.

im not trying to get into an arguement, so dont get all hostile.

Sorry if I sounded hostile - certainly no hostile intent, only curiosity.

That actually makes sense.  Does that mean that with QEVs I can lower the cocking pressure?

im not possitive, but id assume so. its hard to tell because the cocker i had, already had qevs on it before i could tinker, and it also was a turtle cocker, so my psi is lower off the bat

A good hinge trigger, 3 way, and QEV's (they made a noticable improvement on my mechanical GX4). Depending on what cocker you have, you might already have a decent trigger and 3 way, so it would help to know what it is that you are shooting.

actually, alot of slider trigger frames are faster than hinge triggers.

you just have to know how to use them right. if you do, they;re your best friend
