I went out for a couple hours and had 1 on 1 rounds, i used probably not even 700 balls. When i was done, i found out i used my whole 20 ounce co2 tank. I had the velocity at about half way or a little less. Is it possible that my 98c is using an extensive amount of gas?

Not likely. Youll have the same efficiancy with your velocity screw all the way in as you will all the way out. It just diverts airflow and does not at all change dwell.

700 isnt that bad for a 20oz, it could have been a bad fill. Chances are you had your gun pointed down and sucked up some liquid co2 loosing potential gas. If this happens often look into an expansion chamber, remote, anti-siphon, Palmers Stabalizer, or best of all HPA.

I'm thinking a leak.

Gas up your gun in a queit place and listen for a hiss.  Likely places are the Valve Bolts on the side of the gun, the gas line or the ASA.  If you cant find it, either submerge your marker in CLEAN DISTILLED water while gassed up (keep the tank dry) and look for bubbles.  IF YOU DO THIS YOU MUST CLEAN YOUR GUN.  You need to go in, dry EVERYTHING, and let it stand over night in a dry place to make sure its dry, then relube the gun.

The alternative is to apply a light layer of water to the exterior and look for water, but be sure to dry off everything that gets wet.

Check for leaks and tell us.
