The valve screw shot off of the gun and hit me how else can it be described? the screw sepereates from the gun with great force and takes flight through the air and hits me |

Hmm. Detail is scarce, so what your saying is the valve screw, (black thing) that goes thru the power tube, into the valve, it flying out and hitting you?

You torqued it too much and stripped the threads. You need to replace the valve. Don't torque it next time- just wrap teflon tape once or twice around it, and screw it in until you feel a bit of resistance. Overtightening causes the screw to pull the threads off, thus making it sit loose. When you aired up the gun, the screw began sliding outward from the weaken threads, and it finally destroyed the threads and made the screw fly out.

I already did that it hasn't re-occured... but I still have a small mark on my back the indent of the spot where the wrench goes in...
