I bought a stock for my 98 today and i dissasembled it and stuff, now when i put it all together, the gun won't stay cocked. I think i lost the sears pin because the spring has nothing to attach to and the sears isn't even in the gun. DO i need to find this springin order to get it all to work. and a side note, the sears picture in the manuel of the gun isn't drawn right XD

Is it a Custom Pro? They have a different sear and spring combo. If you don't have the pin that the sear pivots on then the sear must be just floating around in there! That's bad. It will not cock if the sear is not installed properly.

If you do have a custom pro then the sear spring does not hook to it (98C) it pushes on the sear instead. you need to find or replace the spring.       Good luck.

The sear is what actually catches bolt when it is in the cocked position. So if the sear is not in it's proper position, or if the spring is not there, the sear will not engage the bolt, and the gun won't stay cocked.

You kinda need the sear in the gun to have it stay cocked.

Find all the parts, put the parts in the right spots. Then put it together. Do not put it together/fire it until all the parts are in(and in the right spots).

Hahha!! ya u kinda need that! Also make sure you have the large o-ring that sits in the back behind the rear bolt. If you lose that, your gun might not stay cocked either.

Make sure your front bolt isn't in backwards.

Bango, while that is a problem sometimes right now it is clearly the lack of a sear spring.

The sear spring pulls (or pushes on a CPro) the sear into the bolt, catching it and holding it in the open (cocked) position.
