98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. If you would like to bonus ball these idiots put this in your sig.

I have a Flatline on my 98C and I like it. However, the Flatline
is not for everyone. I've noticed that people either love it or
hate it, there is no in between. My advice is to borrow a
Flatline equipped marker from a friend if possible and try it out
before you spend the money on it. I've included some random
Flatline related thoughts below:
- It will significantly increase effective range.
- Due to retained velocity and contact angle it will break paint at ranges where other barrels would probably get bounces.
- It is not a magic "sniper" barrel, several shots may be required for a hit, and not all hits will break.
- Paintballs are inherently inaccurate projectiles due to spherical shape and liquid fill.
- The backspin also affects accuracy at longer ranges.
- If you are not holding the barrel perfectly level (no left/right tilt) it will affect accuracy at longer ranges.
- The F/L is a very effective tool for long range.
suppressive/interdictive fire if you don't mind shooting a lot of paint
(think of it as playing the machine-gunner role).
- If you break paint in it you are screwed until it is cleaned out.
- Effective range is reduced to about 25 feet.
- A squeegee will help, but accuracy will remain affected until the barrel is thoroughly cleaned.
- The 98 F/L is a pain to install/adjust correctly (at least for
me, but I am really picky about stuff having to be just perfect).
The A5 barrel is supposed to be much more user friendly.
- At short ranges, the F/L is equal to any other barrel
- At medium ranges the spin/lift causes accuracy to suffer slightly compared to most other aftermarket barrels.
- However, the F/L also provides a serious advantage in thick
brush at these ranges. The flat trajectory allows effective
engagement of opponents who can't hit you back because all of their
arced shots break on overhanging branches that the F/L can shoot under.

You're welcome. For future reference, and to avoid intense
flaming from some forum members, please post any questions in just one
location from now on.
