    Posted: 03 March 2005 at 10:07pm

On the outside of my marker there is gunk that is pretty much stuck on there. When i scrub with a rag, nothing happens, it looks and feels oily but besides taht i cant really discribe it.

Other methods ive tried but stopped really quick were use something a bit harder then a rag, but peeled the paint off.

Im getting to the point where im thinking buying a shell of the 98 custom is the only way to solve this.

Anyone else have this probelm? help!

I dont know what to say...

If this is a new gun it's probably marker oil. Try a little Isopropal Alcohol on a rag and see what happens. If it is marker oil it will need broken in a bit before it stops. You will need to oil your gun regularly anyway.

if you do scrape off your paint, mike at NCC can repaint it for you, almost any color or fade for under $50

You won't even need a rag if you use Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol). Just use cotton balls. That way, if one gets too oily just throw it away and get a clean one.

Maybe try using alcohol and a tooth brush.
